Home and pet sitting built around presence. Coffee brewed, laptop open, your pet curled up close.
About Auntie Jenn
I'm Jenn. I'm a digital nomad and a self-employed IT Consultant, which means I get to build my life and work around being genuinely present for the pets I look after.

When I sit for you, I'm not out and about, popping in when it suits. I'm home. Coffee brewed, spreadsheet open on my laptop, your pet curled up nearby. If they need company, they've got it.I specialise in older pets and anxious pets. The ones who don't do well being left, who need someone steady and present rather than someone ticking a box between other jobs.
About who I sit for
This works best for people whose pets need real company, not just a quick visit.
Older pets who need familiar routines and someone around
Anxious pets who don't cope well alone
Pets who want cuddles and presence
Owners who want a sitter who's genuinely there, not just checking in
Even the shy or nervous ones tend to come round in their own time. I don't force it, I just wait it out. And if something happens while you're away, a poorly tummy, a cat that won't come home on time, I deal with it calmly and keep you posted rather than panicking. This isn't an adventure sitting or high energy dog walking service, and that's by design.
Pricing
I charge on a sliding scale. Access, Standard, and Solidarity get you the exact same sit, same care, same attention. The difference is what you pay, based on what you can genuinely afford right now, not a judgment I'm making about you.
Access £20/night
Standard £35/night
Solidarity £50/night
If money's tight right now, Access is there without question. If you're in a position to pay more, Solidarity helps cover the gap for someone else who can't. No forms, no proving anything, no awkward conversation.I run both my businesses on commerce, not capitalism. That means the price is a fair exchange, not an extraction. I'm not here to price gouge or chase a huge profit, but I'm not here to be taken advantage of either. My services are for people who value a fair exchange too.I also hold a small number of pay-what-you-can community sits each year for people who need one. If that's you, get in touch and ask. No explaining required there either.
How it works

Confirm your dates: Once we're both happy, I'll confirm the booking and pricing.
Settle in: I'm home with your pet for the dates you need, there the whole time.
Testimonials
Jenn is the best pet sitter I've had. She helped work out a schedule for Tweena and Rimby, sorted everything out and kept lists of what needed doing, so I could actually relax while away, and she kept in touch throughout with photos. When Tweena needed a bit more attention after losing Rimby, Jenn took extra good care of her, sending lots of photos of the strokes and cuddles Tweena was getting, and she seemed really relaxed by the time I got home. She's super tidy and organised, and arranging the sit and handover has always been easy, she's friendly and easy going throughout. I'd recommend her for any pet sit, and I hope to arrange more time with her soon.Mich with Tweena & Rimby the cats (later, just Tweena)
We're so delighted to have found Jenn, now “Aunty Jenn” to us. Her care of Skippy was exemplary. She paid close attention to everything we left her about routines, feeding, exercise and quirks, and Skippy bonded with her straight away, clearly enjoying her company. We hope she'll look after her many more times.
Jenn left our home clean and tidy and kept everything in order while we were away. What we loved most was how detailed and regular her updates were, we didn't worry about Skippy once from start to finish. Even when she had a poorly tummy for a few days, Jenn handled it calmly and sensibly.Sandy, Steve & Skippy the mixed Terrier
Jenn has looked after Radar for us many times now, and she's been wonderful every single time. She's warm and friendly, and cares for him with such love and attention that if he could talk, he'd recommend her himself, he absolutely adores her. She's especially good with his anxiety, caring for him with such kindness that we're sure he's felt completely secure every time we've been away, and she sends plenty of photos and reassuring (and often very funny) videos throughout. We can leave her in charge of the house and dog with complete confidence. She's a treasure, and we can't praise her enough.Jane, Iain & Radar the Beagle mix

FAQ
These are the questions I get asked a lot. If yours isn't there, drop me an email on [email protected] and I'll get back to you in two shakes of a puppy's tail
Where are you based?I live in Bexhill, in East Sussex. I sit all over the UK.
Do you sit abroad? At the moment I only accept sits within the UK.
Do you have a car?No. I can drive, and some owners choose to add me to their car insurance for the sit, but I don't have my own car.
What's your day to day like when you're on a sit?I'm up around 8 or 9am. Coffee, pet cuddles, more coffee, then I plan the day. There's pet time, walking or playtime, then I settle into work. After work it's another walk, a bit more work if needed, then TV and sofa time. All my work is remote, so I don't meet clients in person, I just hold video calls when needed.
Can I see your other business?
Yes, of course. Here's the link to Hell Yeah Tech.
Why do you do house sitting?I love variety. I've spent years designing a working life that includes pets, new places and meeting people, while still being able to manage my own work properly.
My pet needs medication. Are you able to give it?Yes, tablets are no problem. I'm good at hiding them in something tasty and checking they've actually been eaten. Anything more involved, like injections, isn't something I'm able to do.
Are you okay with cameras inside the house?Cameras on entry and exit points, or pointed at your pet's usual spot, are completely fine. Cameras that capture my day to day in the house aren't something I'm comfortable with.
Will you send me updates while I'm away?Yes. Texts, photos and videos so you can see how things are going.
I've got building work happening at the property. Can that continue while you're sitting? No, I'd rather it was just me in the house. I've got my own work to focus on and I'm not able to be coordinating with contractors on top of that.
How old are you?Fair question. I was born at the end of 1970, so yes, a bit older than I look.
I already have a dog walker. Does that reduce the rate? No. If you'd like to keep your regular dog walker that's completely fine, I'm happy to coordinate with them, but it doesn't change the pricing.
Can I really just choose whichever rate suits me?Yes. There's no judgement attached to which rate you choose. I don't know your financial situation and it's not my business to guess at it. You get exactly the same level of care whatever you choose.
Do you have visitors around while you're sitting?I prefer to be on my own. If I do have friends or family nearby and they'd like to visit, that only happens with your written permission first. I'm genuinely happy with my own company and can give my full focus to your pet and my work.
Jenn has sat for us twice now, and I chose her again because of the empathy she shows towards my four cats, all very different personalities, and she understands each of them. Her love of animals is genuine. She's happy to arrive the night before if I'm leaving early, and it makes sense to go through everything in person, she always asks the right questions about the cats. I get daily updates showing even the shyest cats accepting her calm, gentle approach, along with photos, and any questions about the cats or the house are dealt with clearly and quickly. She's learned each cat's personality and lets them come to her rather than the other way round, Mezcal, who's usually shy, ended up sharing a room with her on one stay, which is a real achievement. Her care for my home matches her care for the cats, and I'm always pleased she seems to genuinely enjoy her time here. I highly recommend her.*Mary & 4 cats aged 2 to 14
It was lovely having Jenn sit for us. We came home to two very happy, contented cats and an immaculate house. She kept us up to date on how Sirrus and Gizmo were getting on, with photos and funny little updates along the way. When one of them didn't come home on time, she worked out a proper plan to find him, and luckily he turned up not long after. She looked after our plants and the pond fish too, and made sure we had fresh milk waiting for us. We'd have no hesitation inviting her back.Ian & Penny with Sirrus & Gizmo the young cat brothers
Jenn has looked after Moira for us four times now, including a month-long stay, our longest sit so far and the longest we've ever left her. Every time, she's left the flat spotless and followed our feeding and medication instructions to the letter, and her communication is excellent and always reassuring. Moira adores her, so much so that when Jenn was getting ready to leave after one stay, Moira jumped up with a little moan that we're sure meant “please don’t go”. We trust her completely with our dog and our home, and we already can't wait to have her back.Michael & Moira the mini dachshund diva
Jenn was wonderful with Bear. She sent daily updates and handled a tummy upset calmly and effectively while I was away. Her communication before and after the sit was excellent too. It was a real pleasure having her sit for me, and I'd invite her back in a heartbeat. Truly professional, kind, and clearly cares. There were actual tears when she left. Thank you for taking such good care of Bear.Scott & Bear the cockapoo
Jenn was great, and Kolo trusted her from the moment she walked in (he even let her stroke him straight away, and he's a nervous cat!). She got in touch beforehand to agree arrival times and kept us up to date on his routine throughout, with photos and videos. It was lovely coming home to such a relaxed cat. We'd definitely ask her to sit again, and would recommend her to other pet owners.Adam & Kolo the cat
Jenn is a fantastic pet sitter, and I'd highly recommend her. She's looked after Fifi and Lucky several times now, from two nights up to over a week. She always sends updates, and both cats adore her, even Lucky, who's usually shy and hides from visitors, but is all over Jenn for cuddles. My flat is always well looked after, clean and tidy, when I get home.Vern with Fifi & Lucky the cats
Jenn sat for us recently, and we were really happy with the whole experience. Hopscotch became slightly unwell while we were away, and Jenn dealt with it straight away, phoning the vet to be safe and keeping us up to date throughout. We came home to a clean flat and a happy, healthy cat. Highly recommend.Ruth & Hopscotch the cat
Jenn has now stayed with Tenley three times, and she's been brilliant every time. She's excellent from the first message through to the end of a sit, always makes time to meet beforehand, and is flexible with arrival and departure to fit around our travel plans. She's wonderfully organised, asking thoughtful questions and taking notes so she really understands Tenley's routine and our home, and she's reliable and always punctual. Throughout each stay she sends regular photo and video updates that make us laugh and reassure us Tenley's in the right hands. She's flexible too, on one stay, an overnight flight from the US was cancelled, and she offered to stay an extra day, even overnight if needed, to make sure Tenley was settled before she left. And she's tidy and neat, always leaving the house spotless, you'd never know she'd been there if it weren't for a happy dog waiting at the door. We keep inviting her back, and we've genuinely started planning holidays around her availability.Matthew, Katie & Tenley the mini mix
Jenn has been house and dog sitting for me for over three years now and has always been brilliant. She's never once let me down, and she treats my home and dog with real respect. She's completely trustworthy, and Ringo adores her. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.Tony & Ringo the Border Terrier
I feel so lucky to have found Jenn. She got on brilliantly with Tails and sent frequent, reassuring updates throughout the stay, really going above and beyond to put my mind at ease. She left the flat almost tidier than she found it, stayed extra late when my flight was delayed, and even changed the sheets so I could get straight into bed after finally landing at 4am. From her photos and updates, it was clear Tails warmed to her quickly and they had a lovely time together. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better first sit. Thank you so much, Jenn, and Tails hopes to hang out again soon.Yasemin & Tails the whippet
Jenn has done two long sits for us now, including a five week stay, and I'm so glad she was the one who did my very first house sit. She takes wonderful care of Pixie, with daily updates, photos and videos that help with the anxiety of leaving her and with missing her while I'm away, and Pixie adores her. She looks after the house well too, I came home to clean sheets on the bed after a long trip once, what a treat. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again, and will, time and time again.Daisy & Pixie the cat
Jenn is lovely. She looked after our home and our cat Dave for five weeks while we were away. We came back to a beautifully clean house, cared for plants and a very happy cat. Highly recommended.Karen, James & Dave the cat
It was a pleasure having Jenn look after Edie and Meggie from start to finish. We came home to two very chilled, happy cats, a spotless house, and even some delicious homemade cheese scones, along with milk and bread waiting for us. I'd thoroughly recommend her for your next sit, and I'd be delighted to have her back for ours.

Jenn was amazing. From the moment she walked in, I knew Bruce would be in good hands. She sent daily updates, and I felt completely confident he'd be well looked after and thoroughly cuddled while I was away. The flat was clean, and she'd even changed my bedding, which was a lovely touch after getting home at 3am. We can't wait to have her again.Kate & Bruce the mixed breed dog
Jenn has sat for us twice now with Fergus, and she's been brilliant both times. Communicating with her is always straightforward, and she's flexible, coming the night before we left on one stay and staying on when we got back late on another. She's wonderful with Fergus and keeps us up to date with photos throughout, and her love of animals is obvious, she just gets him, and he clearly adores her too. Her attention to detail is amazing, and she's left the house immaculate every time. Thanks to her, we've had completely guilt free holidays knowing he's having a lovely time with her.Saffron & Luke with Fergus the elderly Cockapoo
Jenn sat with Binkie for two weeks, and everything went smoothly. Communication beforehand was quick and easy, and even though we didn't get the chance to walk together first, Binkie settled with her quickly and looked happy in every update I received. The house was well looked after, clean and tidy on my return, conkers and falling leaves from next door's tree included! No hesitation in recommending Jenn as a tidy, thoughtful and kind sitter. She's welcome back any time, and Binkie certainly enjoyed the treats.Lois & Binkie the elderly Terrier mix
Jenn was fantastic with our three dogs. Just watching her interact with them put our minds at rest that they'd be well loved while we were away. She took the time to understand our house rules properly, sofas yes, beds no, along with each dog's specific needs around medication and diet. We had daily updates, and Jenn was always happy to answer questions, both before her arrival and during the sit. The house was clean and tidy when we got back. Highly recommended.Heidi & Jax the mastiff mix, Cocoa the Labrador and Scrappy the Pomeranian
Jenn has sat for us twice now, and she's been the perfect sitter both times. Tidy, responsive, and she looks after Ziggy really well, keeping us updated at just the right moments. He loves cuddling up with her, and it's clear she knows exactly how to bond with and care for him. We'd certainly recommend her.Anna & Ben with Ziggy the gentle mixed breed
Jenn is absolutely wonderful. I felt completely at ease leaving my three cats, including one with three legs, in her care. She took detailed notes on their routines and asked all the right questions to make sure she had everything she needed. She updated me several times a day with photos and videos, which I really appreciated, I'm a bit of a worrier! She left the house immaculate too. I wouldn't hesitate to have her over again, and probably will if she's free to sit for me another time.Three cats, including one with three legs
Jenn was a brilliant house sitter for us. We asked her to stay for a night before the sit properly began so she could meet Emma and Dexter, and she happily agreed. One of our dogs is quite sensitive, but she settled right in once she got to know Jenn, who even came to stay a few days early to help both dogs feel at ease. While we were away, Jenn kept us updated with messages and photos, which was a real comfort. We came home to two happy dogs who'd clearly grown fond of her, a spotless house, and dinner waiting for us, which we hadn't expected at all. We'd happily recommend Jenn to anyone looking for a sitter, and would welcome her back any time.Mike with Emma the anxious Boerboel and Dexter the lively Boston Terrier
Jenn was fantastic, easy to communicate with, warm and kind. While we were away, our neighbours messaged to say they'd spotted her through the window with both dogs curled up on her lap, gazing at her with pure adoration. Thank you so much for caring for our dogs, for all the updates, and for your kindness. Two little sister terriers
It was lovely knowing Bodi was in her own home with Jenn while we were away. We met beforehand to talk through the sit, and it was clear straight away that Jenn is organised, professional and genuinely loves animals. We left on holiday with complete peace of mind that Bodi would be well loved. Huge thanks, Jenn, we hope to have you back for another sit soon. No hesitation in recommending her.Sam with Bodi the Cockapoo
Jenn was a wonderful house sitter, and we're so grateful for the care and love she gave Bona. She was easy to communicate with throughout, and sent the sweetest updates from their walks and play time together. Above all, Jenn is a warm, loving, friendly person who bonded with the whole family. We feel very lucky to have met her.Marta & Bona the elderly Westie
Jenn has looked after Honey for us more than once now, and she's been wonderful every time. She looked after Honey for three weeks on one stay and took fantastic care of her, it was clear Honey loved being with her, which was hugely reassuring given how long we were away. Her communication is always great, and she's kind and caring throughout. We can't recommend her highly enough, she's thoughtful and genuinely loves the animals in her care, and we'd happily have her sit again.Eleanor & Ronan with Honey the Romanian Remix dog
Jenn has flat and cat sat for me several times now and has been brilliant every time. My cat Maxi (and my previous cat Luca before him) is always fond of her, and she sends regular updates and photos of how they're getting on, which I really appreciate. She's a lovely, easy communicator, and my flat is always left cleaner than she found it. I trust her completely to look after everything, including keeping my cat entertained.Tamsin with various cats
Jenn house and pet sat for us while we were away skiing. She looked after our little country cottage beautifully, and it was spotless when we got back. She kept all the plants watered and took great care of our pets too, one rabbit and two budgies. We'd definitely ask her back.Alison with Rabbit and Birds
